Personal Data Protection Notice
AASION PTE LTD (hereafter "AASION") respects the privacy of our AASION Distributors with regard to personal data. This Personal Data Protection Notice is formulated in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (hereinafter referred to as "the Singapore Act") and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia ("the Malaysia Act"). Pursuant to the requirements of these Acts, we issue this notice to all our AASION Distributors detailing the management of your personal data.
1. Personal Data
AASION will process your personal data, including but not limited to the following, which has been provided by you to AASION for the furtherance of your direct selling transactions:
Name
Age, sex, date of birth, national identification numbers (Singapore NRIC number, Malaysia Identity number, or passport number, where relevant)
Race, nationality, religion
Contact information (address, phone & fax number, email address)
Marital status, family details (children and spouse's details)
Photographs provided to AASION and/or taken at AASION’s official company functions
Credit card and/or debit card details
Bank account particulars
Co-applicant name (where relevant)
Company registration documents, where applicable
Username and password for the AASION website
(Collectively referred to as "Personal Data")
Your Personal Data is collected from various sources, including but not limited to:
Information or comments or messages you have provided to us by any means;
Information inputted into online facilities;
Information obtained independently by us from other lawful sources.
2. Usage of Data
AASION will use and/or process your Personal Data for, among others, the following purposes:
Disbursement of commissions earned;
Recognition and awards;
Publication in articles, leaflets, or magazines in print or electronic media, including social media and e-books;
Marketing of products and services and providing updates, new products, special offers, promotional material, and commercial material;
Processing invoices and payments (including card payments);
Conducting research on planning, products, services, and security;
Administering and managing your account, transactions, and communication;
Legal or regulatory compliance as required by law;
Facilitating business transactions, including a third party’s acquisition or inquiry regarding AASION's interests;
Disclosure to service providers or third parties to fulfill AASION’s business needs, legal obligations, or audit requirements;
Enforcement of AASION’s rights or seeking legal and financial advice.
We may contact you for the above purposes via telephone, email, SMS, post, or social media.
3. Disclosure of Your Personal Data
AASION will keep your Personal Data confidential and will not disclose it for any purpose other than those stated above. However, AASION may disclose your Personal Data in certain situations, such as:
When required by law or to comply with legal obligations;
When such disclosure is necessary to protect AASION’s legal rights or to address suspected fraud or unlawful activities;
To third parties, including service providers, contractors, or affiliates, who require such data to fulfill business services.
In cases of disclosure to third parties, we will ensure that appropriate measures are in place to protect your Personal Data.
4. Security of Personal Data
AASION shall keep and process your Personal Data in a secure manner and take reasonable steps, in compliance with the applicable laws of Singapore and Malaysia, to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, modification, or disclosure of your Personal Data.
5. Retention of Data
AASION will not retain your Personal Data longer than necessary after the termination of the contract/agreement between you and AASION. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal data is destroyed or permanently deleted if it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected.
6. Transfer of Personal Data
Due to the global nature of AASION’s business, your Personal Data may be transferred between AASION's affiliated companies, including those located in other countries. If Personal Data is transferred outside Singapore or Malaysia, AASION will take reasonable steps to ensure that the receiving party provides a standard of protection that is comparable to Singapore’s and Malaysia’s data protection laws.
By providing your Personal Data, you consent to such transfers, provided they are necessary for the performance of contractual obligations, business transactions, or the operation of AASION’s business.
7. Access and Correction of Your Personal Data
